I started my journey into this field at the University of Pretoria where I completed a BSc in Human Physiology, Genetics and Psychology. I then went on to complete a BSc Honours degree in Psychology at the University of Johannesburg and a Master of Social Science degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of the Free State (Both with distinction). I am registered on the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPSCA).

I completed my internship at a Children's Home and Primary School where my passion for working with children began. I have experience helping children with trauma, bullying, family challenges, enuresis, nightmares and general emotional regulation. I strive to ensure each child that I see feels comfortable, heard and validated. I have worked in a variety of settings such as schools, alcohol and drug rehabilitation centres, private practice and universities.

In my work with adolescents, adults and couples I use an integrative therapy approach. This means that I use a variety of different therapy approaches to best suit my clients needs. My most important goal is to ensure that my clients feel safe to explore any difficulties that they might be facing.

I offer various psychological assessments such as career and subject choice assessments, school-readiness assessments as well as psycho-educational assessments. I am trained in a variety of psychotherapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFBT), Narrative therapy, Brain-working Recursive Therapy (BWRT), Interactional Pattern Analysis (IPA), and Integrative Brain Based Approach (IBBA)

"We think we listen but very rarely do we listen with real understanding, true empathy. Yet listening, of this very special kind, is one of the most potent forces for change that I know." - Carl Rogers
