Yoga is a mind body practice that originates from India. Similar to Pilates in that the movement is linked to the breath. Most Yoga sessions finish with a Savasana/relaxation at the end. Yoga is wonderful for a variety of reasons – physical fitness, stress management, relaxation, strength, flexibility and general well being. Yoga is for everyone, young, old or in between. A fantastic addition to any fitness regime from the professional athlete to the stay at home parent. There are many different styles of Yoga, at 340 we offer Vinyasa/Flow and Yin/Restorative.
Yoga with Shanna Peterson
Shanna Peterson did ballet all through her formative years and after finishing school studied Drama at Natal Technikon (now DUT). Having a love for movement she found her way to a Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Tracey Rohan-Erwin of Shades of Yoga, immediately after which she ran a HOT Yoga Studio for a few years in KZN.
